The South African Football Association (SAFA) has confirmed that Bafana Bafana’s FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Lesotho at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday (18:00) is sold out.
Bafana Bafana will face Lesotho, aiming to secure the top spot in Group C with 10 points after five matches.
This sell-out signifies a significant shift for Bafana Bafana, who have seen a surge in attendance since their Africa Cup of Nations bronze medal victory. This trend was also evident when they defeated Zimbabwe 3-1 at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein in June.
Bafana Bafana slipped to third place in the group after Benin drew 2-2 with Zimbabwe at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Thursday.
