As Mamelodi Sundowns set to face AmaZulu, Siphelele Mkhulise revealed that the Tshwane giant needs to be careful of the presence of Bongani Zungu because he can give them a tough game.

The Brazilians will face Usuthu in the Betway Premiership match at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday (15:00).

The Durban-based side recently signed the former Sundowns midfielder Zungu as well as the ex-Pirates defender Sandile Mthethwa.

Mthethwa will be not available in this game while Zungu could be available in the selection if he is fit as he had n played since June. He had not played since he was released by Sundowns during the off-season.

Mkhulise, 28, believes that Zungu is a good player who will add more value to Usuthu and they need to be aware of him on Tuesday.

“Bongani [Zungu] is a very good player and we all know that he is a good player,” Mkhulise said ahead of their game against Usuthu.

“So, I think he will add value to AmaZulu and I think we need to be aware of that. We must be ready for anything because we don’t know if he will play or not. He is a good player and we know what he can do.”

Meanwhile, the former Black Leopards midfielder also added that Usuthu will give them a tough game because they have a lot of good players, and playing at their home base will help them.

“We are expecting a difficult game because they [AmaZulu] want [three] points since they are playing at home,” Mkhulise added.

“So, it will be a tough game. They also have very good players, and they’ve been playing well but unfortunately sometimes not getting the results they want. But all in all, they are a good team.”

After this game, the Brazilians will play their last game of the year against another KZN-based side Richards Bay on Saturday.

Usuthu, on the other side, will travel to Cape Town to face Cape Town City on Sunday, to conclude the year 2024.
