South Africa has been shocked and saddened by the news of Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and Rachel’s divorce.
Kolisi and Rachel released a joint statement on Instagram Tuesday evening, announcing their mutual decision to end their marriage.
The news comes just days after Kolisi was selected for the Springbok squad that will tour the United Kingdom for the Autumn Nations Series against Scotland, England, and Wales next month.
Kolisi recently returned to South Africa to rejoin the Sharks after leaving French club Racing 92, where he had played since joining from the Sharks last year.
In his first match with the Durban-based side in the United Rugby Championship, Kolisi scored a try as the Sharks narrowly defeated Glasgow Warriors at King Park Stadium on Saturday.
